In each round, those with enough votes move on to the next stage. The contest officially kicked off September 5th at 1 PM EST. The first round, called "First Kill," ran from September 5th to September 14th. All participants are divided into groups, and the top twenty competitors from each group will advance based on the number of votes they receive. Many of them have larger followings or are more skilled at engaging their followers. However, I'm participating because it's a fun experience, something I genuinely want to do, and it allows me to connect with my fellow horror enthusiasts.
That being said, I'm determined to give it my all and go as far as I can in this year's contest. After all, that's the essence of any competition, right? Who knows, I might even emerge as the victor! If that happens, I'll be one ecstatic horror nerd.
